These "special editions" will always be something unique, fancy, or intriguing. They may include prototypes or experimental models that of course would carry a higher price but they will also include various combinations of handle or blade materials, special coatings or colors or other characteristics, which put them in the "unique" category and make them highly desirable to collectors.
